Hi all
I have collected this tree a few hours ago.
Wanted to ask if I should cut back more on this one or wait with it.
If I want to do a double trunk style on this one I thought I should cut the right trunk down.
Any thoughts?
Thank you.
Shay

The twist is way too nice and to cut!

Let the canopy on the left get taller.

Looks like a rule breaker! Gonna be nice!

Is this spring in Israel? Good time to collect?

its fall here

Started raining. Still have hot days but today was pretty nice.
Its from a construction site and I was afraid it will be too late to wait for winter.
I didn't understand your suggestion cut or don't cut?... And what did you mean with rule breaker?
Thanks.

I don't know actually...

I don't need it to grow any bigger then this.
And I know it is very sensitive to moisture. So its in a highly drained environment and my aim is to help it survive the collection and bloom. Bothe of them where not in a good shape when I found them.
Because it is mature already my aim is to reduce root size isn't it?
It has very shallow feeding roots from what I saw . And they have room to grow there for now.
If any one has experience with these (TX sage) and know any thing else I should do please advise...

Correct...you wish to continue to encourage shallow feeding roots. So a shallower pot that is more wide actually is what most put them into. A deep pot that isn't wide will encourage the roots to grow downward is what I believe happens.

Or so I believe it goes...

I'll do that next time...

I don't think it will be a good idea to desterb them now right?
How sensitive are they? I would hate to kill them for being too aggressive...
