Ligustrum Deadwood

I posted a picture of this on my introduction post but will start its own thread. I loved the natural deadwood feature of this tree but it was rotten and super soft (I did reduce watering after following advice and it helped)

Decided to carve it off and practice with my new Dremel. I started with just a scalpel at first until it got too hard, then just followed the lines, accentuating the hollowed look and leaving the edges of the bark where it hard slightly rolled when healing, it really looks nicely aged there.

Still more to do but didn't want to go too far and regret it on my first session.

For a first timer, I don't think I've done a bad job, but what do you think? Before and after below.
