Time has a way of changing one's perspective and this bonsai is a prime example for me.
Purchased over ten years ago as a start, it was intended to bring some unity between my wife and I with my growing numbers of bonsai. She loved lilac and when I was traveling, I'd ask that she kept them watered.
With the time invested in It's health and development, and a change in my priorities from
evergreen to deciduous, I've really come to appreciate this tree. The fragrance inside the tokonoma is overwhelming. The tree was selected to be on exhibit at the Spring show for our bonsai club at the Pacific Rim display this weekend.
So for those not attending I wanted to share. As a Koi fanatic, I really appreciate the scroll
which seems to bring some of the hobbies I like best into one room.....
