I've had this tree for almost 3 years in November.
Recently the leaves seem to be turning brown at the tips, some have yellow spots with brown dots in the middle and other just have these pale spots.
I've repotted him, used insect spray on him and given him fertilizer. The latest I have down is remove some mold around the base and top of the roots.
Does anyone think that might help him or do you recommend me try something else?
I do love him dearly so any advice would be great!!!
Thank you x :)

I keep leafy on my window sill and is planted in a general rectangle pot (7.5x5x2 inches)
Also the water droplet looking things, are they sap or eggs?31400879_1387566428056067_1067212146565185536_n.jpg31417071_1387566644722712_4285420154931642368_n.jpg31453960_1387566408056069_6311382286021427200_n.jpg

not sure where you are located, but it is a pretty hardy tree outside. good to zone 7, so it can go thru cold weather just fine.
Located in middle of England

Yes, it should do well outdoors. Common privet is native to England, and Chinese privet should be fine outside too. Once you get a hang of how hardy the tree is, you might want to try to keep it outdoors year-round with suitable root protection in winter. I keep mine outside year-round and we get more severe cold snaps in winter than you do, although in general we are a warmer climate.

Glad to see more English people (although I’ve had a drink so take my enthisiasm with a grain of salt).
It looks ok to be honest, not really serious health issues that I can see...
Definitely outside though.
I see privets often on kaizen so without research I know they are completely hardy to our crap weather. Outside always man.
Unfortunately can’t tell you what’s going on with it, if anything but keep it healthy with water and sun, if you are confident in your efforts to do these things then you are doing it right :)
