This simple planting is waking up. 3 of 5. The last 2 look like they have some kind of setback. Extra tiny leaves opening up with some brown edges. Could be container restricting leaf size. Maybe an early blight like the street pyrus trees get around here. Also, big temp swings. It could be me overwatering anticipating temps pushing 80 F when there is plenty of moisture still left in the container.

Ideas? You guys in colder locals have more experience with fungals and bacterials than we have on the west coast.
Can any inferences be made from 3 of 5 trees doing well? There was a green leaf hopper on it this morning. Those things are notorious for spreading disease.17F30FD4-5E65-4E6C-82CF-93E3CA985B0F.jpeg3F37D232-6F30-4EEA-BD12-B48981F973A3.jpeg3F37D232-6F30-4EEA-BD12-B48981F973A3.jpeg4886674B-B76B-4C00-8958-8053B7929C2B.jpeg

9?
Looks similar to something that affects maples in spring. I'd guess root fungal infection and seems to go with overwatering in cool conditions. Who knows why just 2 trees and not the others (yet)? Same reason diseases hit some individuals and miss others.
Ease off on the water if you suspect overwatering. Some trees recover if given the opportunity, others are already too far gone.

Fingers crossed.

Looks like root issues indeed.
Fungal infections are a symptom of poor conditions. You need to address the cause and not the fungus.

I did hit with liquid copper and put in the shade for a day. Yes, backing off water and letting them dry out. I may aerate with a chopstick.
