This Tamarindus was grown from seed by a friend for more than 25 years before I got from him 6 years ago.

The main trunk was much longer twisting upward, nice but I though it was too monotonous...then I cut and grow another dramatic line in reverse direction...

Tamarindus is growing quite slow...it may take me another five years to get this final result...

I agree -- this tree is very appealing. Once those branches develop that textured bark this will be absolutely stunning. Thank you for posting it. :)

robert, have you wire brushed the bark off??? reason I was asking, was that in your initial photo, the bark seems to be much darker... Also, I have a Wild-tamarind, and was wondering what the differences are, and if they are in the same family??? The leaf structure seems similar...

Yes, I did..Stacy.. I am not very sure if there are different species of Tamarin...
