Hi Looking to find books or resources for on for literaty style trees.

I know about this one

Literati Style Penjing: Chinese Bonsai Masterworks

but i was hoping for additional info or resources with decent if not great quality images
ditto on - what appears to be rare trees for bonsai, for example Japanese holly, which I thought being an evergreen with pretty red berrys would be natural for old classic bonsai

I got a big ass honeysuckle that’s similiar to the species you mentioned I love weird trees

Got this from one of our very own posters in a fun trade.

As far as literati in books I think best bet is to find show books and study those. Books with style specific advice are filled with bias and with a style as liberal as bunjin you should decide which n you own imo.

This said. I’ve really enjoyed de groots book on principles of design. Also bonsaiq on YouTube features a lot of bunjin trees
