This whip's trunk got damaged when I tried to bend a branch, never really recovered. I exposed some cambium and put in the ground with that wired into the soil. Just repotted, and the main roots are gone, nice roots from the exposed area near the foliage. I'll let it run for a few seasons, see what happens, but it was a nice experiment regardless.

Agree that it's a great experiment.
The sinuous trunk reminds me of a mythical sea serpent, especially from what I assume is the back?
I had same thought, has a definite aquatic feel to me. Back for now, maybe as it grows, ages,I might make that the front - definitely want to see it
