I have only been doing Bonsai for a short time and don't have any trees close to showable. I really like the idea of Saikei because it giv es me an oppurtunity to create things a little more instantly. I picked up a few rocks at the aquarium store for ror planting and had a large one left over. I used it to create this little saikei planting last night. Please excuse the dirty pot.

thanks!

I have been thinking about doing one for a while but didn't find any trees I really liked. I saw these little spruces and thought they would be perfect. It was alot of fun to make and pretty relaxing.

Just don't tell us you have this in a Tofukugi pot!

Of course it's a Tofukuji. I forgot to tell you, I found 10 more and don't know what to do with all of them.

Just kidding.

It's in a plain Japanese pot.

Hi Rich415,
I like your planting and as the trees develop the planting will improve.

Unfortunately crows tore this one apart this spring. They nearly got my zelkova forest as well. They were at the tender roots.

Thanks for the kind words any how. I enjoy doing little saikei plantings.

Regards,

Rich
