Here is my smaller Portulacaria Afra. Its a cutting from my other one....been on its own for a few years now.
I think it needs its own thread now.

I put it in this relatively large blue pot to grow out this year, which it did, then I cut it back hard about 6 weeks ago.
I'm going to repot it soon, into a smaller pot, more its size.

Since I have a few small pots to choose from, I figured I'd let some Bnutters pick which one.

Here is the tree today, just brought in from the rain.

a sorce glazed oval pot

otherwise pot #1 appears to be unglazed, but badd ass looking purchase
I like the softer rounded corners on #1, yet it's toothy, and sized for the occasion
but if it's unglazed I can't vote for it. Don't see one that I would select, but given the choices
in a pinch, 2 and 3 would work, #2 being the pick with a perfect size for transition and glaze.
Nice looking bonsai

Thanks buddy!
Yeah, a glazed oval would he nice.... I'm thinking cream color glaze or even white...I'll have to look around.
Could use a bolder color though too....maybe red or blue.....I like light blue.

Isn't little spec boom (Alpha) in a crackled cream coloured pot?

Of the choices you have #2 looks best to me also. With the cheapo pot actually second place.
I agree that an oval would be nice. Ports always look good in blue imo.

Well, I scoped out sorce's site....some tantalizing pieces as always....but only one small glazed oval.
So I found another super cheapo...like I'm talking $8 cheapo....but I think it will be perfect.
I hope the glaze is as it looks in the picture.....kind of a lighter blue with some purple coming through.
Its supposed to be roughly 3.75 inches across and has one good drainage hole.

Thank you @Japonicus for the assist.
I really love oval pots, in general. But I don't have very many.
I think I'll be happy his winter using this pot instead of the others for this little tree.

I want to start some cuttings this winter of my Willow Leaf Ficus, to be more well suited for those small sorce pots.

I like light blue.
Well there ya go. You could pull that off for an indoor Winter plant.
What are the dimensions on pot #3 compared to the light blue oval?
Prep it too when you repot, then make your final decision once its out of the current pot.
The foliage is masked with the darker colours, it gets lost in #2 photo and the current pot
though that could be the lighting.

Its a bit larger in width and depth, I think.
The blue one should be here in a few days.

Its here!
It's actually a tiny bit wider than I thought from side to side, but slightly more narrow from front to back, and deeper than I thought judging by the pictures.
I do like the glaze though and I think it'll work well for now.

It's a blessing to have pots to choose from, come time to actually pot it up.
I'm trying out my my 3rd phone since AT&T is shooting down my old 3G flip phone 🤬
and I'm a little disappointed with the size of the new phone I got today.
Maybe we're in the same predicament.

Is the sorce pot sized to your intentions of development?

I think its better sized, yeah.
Doesn't mean I can put it in the little blue one for a year though.....
I gotta think more....also, maybe the size of the root base will determine the pot.
