Live Oak & Indian Hawthorn Collection

I’ve found two Live Oaks (Quercus virginiana) and one Indian Hathrown (Rhaphiolepis indica) that I am planning on digging up this fall. I’ve had success with the Indian Hawthorn but I’ve been attempted a live oak.

Do you all have any tips on timing?

I had to chop the trunks earlier this summer but haven’t gotten any new buds.

I keep finding these little pests on the new leaves. Does anyone know what they are and how to rid them from the tree? I’ve been wiping them off but they are still having an effect on the new leaves.

First phot looks like leaf spot fungus, the others are aphids. Spray with fungicide and either hit the aphids with a hose blast or use an insecticidal soap spray.
