Growing up my grandfather would take us to see the magnificent cherry bloosoms in Branch Brook Park - Newark, NJ. Home to one of the largest collections of flowering cherries in the world.

If you are in the NY/NJ metro area check it out.

Another great collection is at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Check out their site for a guide to what trees are blossoming do you can time your visit.

It gets a little crowded. Don't drive to the park, walk or take transit. There are only about 5 parking spots.

From my train ride home, the entire DC basin is lush with pink and white. I personally have anxiety attacks mentally placing myself in the middle of it all.
