Thought I’d share this lodgepole pine yamadori I collected in the fall 2015.
The tree recovered well and has grown fairly well since. I’ve wired the pine once to start a basic silhouette.
The pine was collected from a rock crevice and has a total one sided root system. Thick old roots run the length of the box.
This is a tree I’d like to plant in a nice pot at some point but I’m perplexed by a possible solution. I’ve thought of the following:
1) try and mound the tree more and slowly remove Root over several repots (this would be long term)
1) possible rock planting like the sketch I made
I don’t really like rock plantings but repotting/ root work on these kind of pines makes Me a little nervous. Feel free to share ideas/ critiques
