When I was little. Like 4 years old,my younger brother, sister and I went to live with our great grandmother. Our parents weren't so great.
I dimly remember a baby boy. My littlest brother.
Years later when my mother got out of prison(really bad woman) I asked her about that baby. She said he died.
Well,my cousin got on a genealogy website just to see.
Lo and behold she gets in contact with this guy in N.C. that is a close match. Like first cousin close.
Come to find out it's my long lost brother!
He had been adopted out at 3 months old and went to a nice family that took care of him.
I know he's my brother because he looks like my other brother. Spitting image.
He's coming up this weekend to meet us.
It's going to be a bittersweet moment meeting him.
Because of what was lost but also because of what will be gained.
I've had a brother I never knew was alive for 50 years.
Surreal!

This is good news, treat it like such. You have had so much grief in your life it is about time something good happened.
Thank you Vance.
It's going to be something I will never forget.
Truly a joyous occasion like a feel good story on the news.
We're all looking forward to this.
And words cant describe how I'm feeling.
Happy,sad and mad.
Happy we get to know him.
Sad because we missed out on 50 years.
Mad because, well you can figure that one out.

How awesome is that? Nice to see something good come from a bad situation.

Really cool, Mike. Hope the weekend goes great!
Me too.
Thank you Chris.
I'm sure it will.
I've had him on the phone a couple times.
He's (his name is Harry. It was changed when he was adopted. He was born Albert.)
excited to get a big brother. He never had one to keep him in line he said.
I told him it's a little late for a brotherly whipping. But I am here for advice if he ever wants it.
This will be something that will probably be one of the best things to happen to me. Not because he found us but because now my family will be complete.
I always wondered if he lived what he might be like. Now I get to find out. Because he's alive.
