Yup! I remember when you first timidly decided to show a tree. In fact, I think I kind of pushed you!
Right off the cliff! But I landed on my feet... It's been a fun journey. I'll take some photos of what I've been working on, I have not been very good about sharing recently. I have my Study Group with Owen on Monday, and he will help me set some display ideas, so will do a post after that. I have to thank you for that push Adair, and all you other guys, you know who you are. :)

There's a delightful young lady working for an association that subleases from at my office, who I learned today is from Trinidad. She is of Indian decent. She gave me a thumbnail sketch of Trinidad and how culturally diverse it is... I had no idea.

@substratum ,

and we live together in harmony.

Save when 150 join ISIS and the newspapers go about a binge of crimes.
Then we get an aggressive reputation.

Until someone prints the crime statistics for the last 20 years and we
find out nothing has really changed and the ISIS folk went there for
free handouts and the figure also includes their wives an children o_Oo_O:)

Trinidad is nice, Trinidad is a paradise.
Love the place, enough to want to die here or Elba.
Good Day
Anthony

Lance,
hand watering is a sign of love for a life form
@LanceMac10 If you don't mind, I would like to add that "a sign of love for a life form" I would call it civilization, culture, different mindset, different set of values... in any case not a lifestyle definitely :)

I love this thread....

I have a back/leg thing I'm healing with some rest on this rainy day....

It hurt like a bitch last night at the baseball game but when I was web browsing and tree talking I was completely pain free.

@Anthony the difference on our side.. .

Is EVERYTHING follows the path of Greed and the Economy.
For "Bonsai" to remain viable....it MUST take it's place in the rat race.

Well hell, thinking about what you said...
Maybe this is a problem for bonsai on your side too!

I always tell myself and the Sorceress that I can flip these trees into $..that's how I justify purchase after purchase of tiny bits of "sanity"...and "pain relief".
Even after this last year of finally figuring out the horticulture part of this thing....

I still can not bring myself to sell,or otherwise rid myself of these trees I love so much.

And with near 20% down on the "garden" I almost got 2 years ago....
I am only looking forward to better and more space to keep these trees....

A garden as nice as @MACH5 or @maria kapra ... @bonsai-ben
...

A place I can Invite people to share "tea" and conversate with the feelings @Dav4 speaks of.

A part of the "Chicago Bonsai Village".

With a Kiln!
Or 5!
And Goats...(so I can take them to climb the rock wall at the park!)
And Chickens..
