Hi!

I'm looking for a good, preferably in color, pictorial reference work of bonsai styles. Online is good, hard copy printed is good, electronic style that can be downloaded to my Kindle is good.

I'm one of those, I guess you call it, visual learners. I can read and hear all day long how something should be and look and while that's good, a good picture, or pictures, seals the deal for me. So, if anyone can point out a good reference work that has the potential to be a "go to" work, it sure would be nice.

I really appreciate your time!!

For printed, I like the kokufu-ten books. You can find them in eBay. #88 was this year, so you can work backward until you find some in your price range. Those in the #70s are a good value, IMO.

Kunio Kobayashi's Shunka-en is also impressive:

Virtually any beginner-level bonsai book will go through the basic styles, complete with pictures.
