Bought this one from a local bonsai club member a couple years ago. It was in a taller pot when I got it. Here it is in fall 2021:

This is awesome I just got some bougainvillea that I am excited to mess with in a few years. They are just little ones. Love the movement on this one

Chopped it back some and put a bit of wire on some upward growing branches to aim them downward to keep the semi-cascade shape on it. Fed it some Bougain fertilizer as well.

Repotted it to address very slow drainage issue and put it into a different pot which I think looks better with it (more proportionate, I think). It was very root bound and had one circling root that was about 3 ft. long.

It’s normally more orange than yellow, but I only fertilize with Miracle Grow when it’s indoors for the winter and the flowers developed before I brought it outside, so the colors are more muted. When it’s outside, I feed it Bougain and that really brings out vibrant colors during the next bloom.

Mine have much paler flowers inside as well. One that bloomed all winter with really pale pink flowers, now has magenta flowers.
