Havent been online as much...hope things are settling back down to norm.

Had to have an emergency CAT SCAN for the hubs. He's had migraines all his life, but they changed. Coming on harder like someone hit him with a blunt object at the temple...same side of face tingling...and it went down to his shoulder. Nothing out of the norm showed up thank goodness. Except sinuses were possibly effecting him.

Then Son had strep during exam week if high school, hubs had pneumonia and I too was sick.

He finally gets back to work...to have something distract him while operating table saw and sticks his hand into the blade.

To have to run my dad to the hospital...another bout with congestive heart falure. Dad's back home but his legs now are bothering him..will have a surprise 80th birthday part for him end of June.

Last minute mission stuff going on...found a few consecutive days for yard therapy. It needed it so bad...and with Memorial Day weekend looking so nice I cut the roses back early. Usually wait until after then. Yard looks great! About five years spoke to the husband of adding another raised bed at the top of our waterfall to encorperate foliage and flowers around the entire falls. He mentioned it in passing as his idea...and I praised him in his genious. ?? so...we get back in July...if things stay settled down...I will look forward to that getting done.

And that is a far cry better then prior to your last Mission... Happy things are slowly getting back together for you and yours :)

Well, it was a phrase of the calm after the storm. Was at pulmonary specialist Wednesday...round of steroids. Something more than just acid reflux...breathing test scheduled for July. But...my family is fine...and I can breathe and feel as if things are settling down.

Thanks! Yes...this wave of all right in the world is wonderful. After my husband's accident. Was talking to our masonry sub. His niece lost her thumb helping her husband hang gutter. Not sure from a machine running it off or how. But puts things into perspective. Before hearing that...my husband was stating his one finger which looked like chopped up meat at the end would look ugly when healed. I told him to be glad he had an ugly looking finger...could be worse...NO FINGER!!! When he heard of this one's niece...he told me my words rang in his head.

I hope everyone gets well before your trip. I'm sure it's challenging enough, without worrying about being sick.

Pulmonary specialist today...some ladies perfume set me off in waiting room...real bad. To the point I ended up with x rays. Inflammation only so a strong steroid shot which is a 9 day taper since pills didn't clear up last time. He's frustrated this is back. X-rays didn't explain what was causing it. Lung test in July...and possible others if we get no real answer. Prescription to take with me if I have a laps while there...

Son also now sick with fever. 104.1 this morning. Got him into our doctor which is 5 minutes down the road from specialist. Tested negative for strep. Sending it off to make sure it's not a false negative. Tested negative for Mono as well. But if culture comes back strep...we have enough time to pump him with meds and get better. (((Phew)))

Long day...left at noon...and got in around 7pm.

Geez. Hope you both recover quickly.
Thanks! I can't get over how deep of a breath I can take with no urge to cough. Pretty good shot.

@milehigh_7 suggested possible mold spores. I have 2 pots still with cheap crap spaghumn. Had switched to New Zealand but two still have the crap on it. They are black on the moss...and I will be wearing a mask and removing. One honestly don't need it. It was put on for winter protection. (Gingko since I read they were root sensiti've. Most likely overkill. ? )

Dumb move...the husband thought thermometer may be broken...so rinsed under hit water and tested his own temp instead of disinfecting with alcohol. Ugh...I pray he doesn't get what our son has...by that smart move he did.

Son's fever finally broke. Had me wigged when every 3 hours we do Tylenol then Advil...to have it spike to 103.3...called doctor and they said if it hit 104 to take him to the hospital since he's on the regiment of 3 hours back to back fever. Fortunately...it broke and as of this morning...97.3 he's not sick to his stomach...or having bathroom issues. Just high fever, sore throat and aches all over. Viral they say...still curious what the culture will say on strep they sent off. But he swears it doesn't hurt that bad like when he had strep last month.

It's been crazy...sitting up in the ER with my dad. He's just not well...my son is still sick, but fever less high so May be he's on the end of it.
Got a chinchilla being syringed fed...back to the vet later with him this afternoon. The husband may need to do that task...depends on what happens here.

Surprise 80th party for my dad Saturday. Praying he is up to it. Leave the 27th...for 14 days. I have had one day...I was excited about going. But the rest...has been chaos. Watering my trees is what keeps me grounded. Trying to just give it all to God...because I can't control any of it.

Well, the ER doctor I really liked. My dad has a UTI. A really bad one...white cells are to high to even count. Gave him a shot of antibiotics. Along with a prescription of cypro. Said the shot should have him feeling better by tomorrow. His family doctor misdiagnosed him...with something else. Never tested his urine. So...hopefully we will see him recovering than declining. What a relief. I feel better having had my dad checked out...and hearing he should start feeling better soon.

Been busy with my dad...his health isn't the best. He has come to realize he can't stay where he is. Now that he is finally home. (A few extended trips to the hospital.) His heart is weaker from a leaky interior valve. The medicine he needs to get fluid off him is only by IV. With his heart this weak. So it's been a long haul. Went to drop off an application for senior housing...and learned a 2 bedroom is vacant. Under remodeling...new kitchen but paint and carpet on hold until they became aware of ones needing it. Well...enter my dad and his wife. What a blessing...that doors are opening...I hope we get them settled in...before they see if he's a candidate for valve repair. If so...it could improve quality of life he has left.

Hoping for the best for your father.
Thanks, cardiologist feels he has a 50/50 chance of being a candidate. The procedure sounds scary, they have to put a hole in his heart to reach the interior valve. But...cardiologist feels this is his best chance. Facing you can't live where you have lived 30 years...is difficult. Had our last family reunion there last Saturday. That...was difficult. Tradition broken...there were some tears at the end. But...they can't live there. He can't maintain the outdoors. It's a lot of land to mow...and their lane needs plowed. His wife won't be able to stay there if something happens to him, so his moving is thinking ahead for her.

Well, they never scheduled the scope to see if my dad is a candidate for the valve repair. Now, we've hit the cross section in the path where water pills no longer take the fluid off from his heart failure. He's to weak to go through with the test let alone have his heart repaired.

I am still trying to be upbeat...he's not gaining three pounds of water in a day...and the IV drip does at this time...or at least last time worked. Dropped him off around noon and stayed until 3:30...waiting on the prescription to come up from the hospital pharmacy to get it going..finally at four they began it. He's to stay for at least 24 hours...but last time it took four days...so being realistic...I am unsure he will be home before then. So he still has time with us...hospice has not been called in as of yet. Only Palliative Care...which tells me, they feel he has time left. So...I will look at each day as a blessing...that he's still with us. And remain positive...but this getting old sucks. It's a roller coaster of good days verses not so good. But I love my dad...and I will remind him as long as he is here...I am blessed.
