There is a place in northern Jersey that just started selling lava for bonsai. I cant remember the name but I think someone posted about it here somewhere.

You cannot trick me into another substrate thread so I won't recommend a choice :eek: However at the very bottom it says to call for shipping prices ;)

Thanks guys. It is within driving distance for me.

If you do get lava from them, please be sure to report back about it. They are a reasonable distance from me as well to load up on lava once a year or so.
If you can take some pictures of the soil with a size reference like a quarter or something, I would love to see what it looks like.

Now if we can manage to get them to stock pumice, I would be all set!
