buffrider Mame Messages 116 Reaction score 1 Location oklahoma Aug 18, 2011 #1 I was given a J. Maple from a friend. It was to tall for the size of trunk. I cut it way back still leaving leaves on it. Can I go ahead and cut it back and start making it a broom or should I wait till next spring?
