Doing good. Need to get some movement in the top trunk or something. Maybe will notch and bring up that right branch as new leader. What do people think?

Will let it gain strength for next year.

End of year. Happy with progress. Plan is a repot next year, some changes to apex, fertilization, growth... would like to see some minor adjustments I wired hold on the lower branch and on the planned new leader. Nebari is looking awesome. I'm contemplating a grow box even for some real serious growth. Probably would triple in thickness in two or three years in a grow box. The roots should be pretty much set for the future other than minor root work. Hmmmm......

Thickness by year: Bold are years which tree was repotted:

Potential rethinking of apex:

Wired for some structure:

Tree will get some protection this winter compared to normal years due to the wiring.

Repotted today since I saw movement in the buds, even some early leafing out. My Malus always are the first to wake up.

Roots roughly pruned up. Im happy with the roots mostly. Removed some crossing roots, cut back some chunkier roots... typical work.
