Progress thread for my Malus not sure if this is M. Halliana or M. floribunda. I purchased this tree two years ago as a bonsai starter. The tree was grown in Korea. Unfortunately I wasn’t taking pictures of my trees for a while, so my first picture of it is from flowering last year. It didn’t require a lot of work just some shortening of elongated branches and wiring.

Didn’t change a lot last year just a slight reduction of the height and redid some of the wire.

Development plans, improve ramification and thicken the lower branches. There is a gap on the middle left which I will address by changing the planting angle next year when it gets it’s new Hattori pot.

I’m tempted to make a horrible pun about “malus aforethought”. That’s a really pretty tree. I know you said it’s from Korea, but the blossoms look identical to one I have. By sheer coincidence, I bought a pre-bonsai that turned out to be ‘Snowball’, the same cultivar as the tree in my front yard. The more muted color of the Hattori pot will really set off the pink of the opening blossoms, as well as complementing the bark color. Nice choice indeed.
