I bought a little matchbox sized mame pot from @sorce a few months back with a plan to put a little ficus in it. Today, I made good on my idea.

Got a decent start to some good radial roots on this little Benjamina:

Roots pruned, with a little piece of pumice jammed into the empty space under the base of the tree:

This is in no way a finished composition, more a learning experience in terms of keeping a tree alive in such a small container.

Great start 👍
I have a few mame ficus - benjamina and microcarpa. As long as they don’t go completely dry they do great.
I’m excited for updates!

Benjaminas are like that they die on you very easy!! Tiger bark are much much hardy
