Are there any resources in the lands of book or internet that specifically talks in detail about mame creation and maintenance?

I've started some jades and a juniper on the way in that direction but really have no idea what I'm doing. Figure it's just the same stuff at a smaller scale, but when you get truly tiny it seems that there must be more to it (perhaps those just don't live long).

For me, the most important thing is that next level of thinking.
When working so small, I've noted more situations where things can't be put off till later, because later you won't be able to reach tools in to perform work.

Unless you make really small tools.
Speaking of, cuticle cutters are necessary.

Be willing to work outside the book.

The best mame tip I've gotten is to grow your mame inside a larger pot of regular soil mix. The little guys dry out too fast on the bench and the larger pot of soil gives them a buffer. Before you show them remove the small pot from the large pot, trim the roots that have escaped the small pot, and there you go.
