maple time for some stying suggestions

This maple has been happy in a colander for the last few years. Have done nothing except root and leave reduction, clip and grow.
It is time for a style. It has some natural shari which needs refinement too eventually.

I think when it is time for a repot it should be repositioned to the left. Or should the long straight branch be wired n bent, cut off? Looking for some direction...

Sorry, can up stand on your head...I'll try tomorrow and hold my phone in the right direction and check settings. I am unable to turn them....
