Gotcha!😉

Quick story, this seedling I spotted growing in the gardens where i live is offspring of an Elm tree that succumbed to dutch elm disease and was removed a year ago.
I love elms, so i thought why not and it came up very easily, I think theres enough root there to give it a new lease of life in one of my balcony troughs.
It looks like field elm to me, same varied leaves as my old field elm

here goes,
kept all the roots and just laid it flat, to give it the best chance and even began the movement process😉

I've been got. What's the reason for laying it flat like that?

to keep all the roots and give it the best chance. could eventually be a leaning tree, who knows. at this young age it could be adjusted at another point.
