Hi nuts,

I'd like to show you the privet stump I've found in the green waste collector at the end of the street. It has a superb flat root zone I couldn't believe. The trunk is 4" above roots, the whole stuff is 6.5" tall. It will be a muscular little shohin in few years I think.

It woke up strongly. I selected the shoots I'll use. I'm hoping for a bud to pop higher on the center trunk.

you can wire movement into shoots while still young, otherwise they become rigid and course very quickly.

I've seen this thread, great tree, excellent job!
Thanks for the suggestion, I am planning to wire in a few days. I did not have the time to do the pruning and wiring in one sitting.

just use gentle pressure and subtle bends, they will snap otherwise.
