I have had it for a long time, it is probably at least 40 years old. It came from the neighborhood I grew up in, planted in the sixties. When they were removed (late 90's?), they were hacked up pretty bad, the deadwood is the result.

Ahhh, sentimental value.. There is a sand pine at a river camp I go to from time to time. I know the owner well and next month he will be 100. I really want the pine as a reminder of our friendship. Doesn't have to be a bonsai but a small tree would be fine. For me, a story changes everything.
I plan to, just letting it fill in now. My main goal was to get it in a pot this year, I actually have another pot planned for it, this one is just a step for it.
