Crataegus aestivalisit's awesome when you find that 1 species that just works for you ...
what is the latin name??
Here is a series of pictures showing how I do the root trimming at collection.Just collected 3 more while clearing out in between two big Mayhaws. I am practically giving them a collection stress test. Temperature index was 105 at collection time.
I am thinking about planting the two together as a twin clump. Their roots are linked already. What do you guys think?Dug up 3 more today. All around 3.5” at the base. One was dead at the top and barely some leaves near the base. It will have to be nursed back to health. Two others were healthy but growing so close together and other trees so had to be removed. Not sure what to do with those 2. They are only 2” apart and cross one another up top.
