Nice Mike, I'm subbed to the thread.
How about some history...I mean naming your 1st tree is significant...
I got this from Vance Wood.
I was there when he potted it in this trainer from the original nursery pot and pruned it last year? Maybe the year before.
Not sure if I actually had a hand helping with this particular one.
He had a few.
I'm not sure how long he had this before then, like maybe a year.
I'm thinking it will be in this pot for some years.
Maybe back into a colander type of device to develop the trunks I want to keep quicker.

Ok well that's a good start for sure.
What's your thoughts on the central vertical branch/trunk in the 1st pic,
anchored to the main trunk from the inside of the elbow to fuse in a few years?
Not sure how far I'd torque it 1st go, since it's sharing a crotch with another branch though.

Only 2 of my trees carry a name per se. A name is significant, and I keep putting off identifying
combinations of names and numbers to sort and keep history on.

Cool base, but the growth is very leggy. Do you have good success at getting these to bud back? Or do you plan on grafting shoots closer to the trunk?

Sorry for the delay.
I just now saw this post.
It does have buds down a couple of the "necks"
If it doesnt I'll be grafting.
The reason I looked for this thread is because of the couple of octopus mugo pines I saw on the forum.
It kind of is like those only a touch further along.
