I'm new(2 months) to Bonsai. I have a few different varieties. One of my pride and joys is my Mikawa Yatsubusa. It's a couple feet tall in a big pot. Iv'e had it at least a months without anything wrong. It gets probably 6 to 8 hours direct sun, if no clouds.
It's an outside bonsai of course. I put it inside the shed for the freeze here in ohio.
Yesterday I notice I had spots on my leaves and today I noticed my root base is Red. I sprayed it a few days ago with a disease control that might have been washed off by rain before the freeze. It was a preventiative measure.
What is going on with the leaves and roots? I appreciates all suggestions .

Is spots always a disease?

Sometimes he's a firehouse dog!

Looks fungal here though.

I'd wait a couple more weeks and remove em all.
