Three new pots in green ware.

17.5” oval
11x12” cascade
11” square taiko

Do I sense a theme this week?

I’m trying out a new clay body with 30% grog. My hope is to eliminate cracking on large pieces. These three are pretty sturdy.

Nice....

Backwards world....

I made 2 big pots....

The one I tried to "safely dry slow"...cracked.

The one out in the open dried fine.

I like that big oval alot. The top and bottom lips help frame those taiko nails well. Great work.

Very nice, they look like they could stop a bullet.

Did you fire the dragon pots yet?

Got one out of glaze, another out of bisque and the larger one is still drying. I’m probably going to give it another week under plastic and doing the same on all these bigger pieces. They are 5-10 lbs of clay each so a slow dry cant hurt. Will lighten up a lot when fired, but still these are fairly beefy.
