The last firing went pretty well and I'd like to share some of the results.

Some of the glazes are new, some you've seen before.

Please feel free to comment on what you like or what you don't like.

Feedback is always welcome.

Regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,

I have to say that I LOVE the pots! I'm kind of new to bonsai, but if I needed a pot I think that I would send a PM to you! I really like the second one--love the rings of light/earthy colors. The first one seems a BIT too dark--the green and the black, I don't know. But take that for a grain of salt. :)
The third one is pretty, probably suited for a maple. I really like the fourth one--I think that I have this affinity for these earthy tones. Out of all of them, though, my favorite would be the fifth. The way you did it is just amazing! Thanks for sharing--it really stimulated those grey cells!!

David

It appears that we just posted at the same time because my first post (post #3) was referring to the first post by you!!! LOL

Okay, the second set it interesting!!! Once again, I like the fifth one. Also the third is really nice. What kind of plant would you put in the white pots though?!? I can't think of any species.

David

Paul -

I really like 18a and 19a. I've got a thing for cream colored pots right now...

How big are they? I've got an acer that needs to be repotted, and I think it would look great.

Great work and thanks for sharing.

David,

Thanks for the feedback on the glazes. It always helps to hear the thoughts of others.

In regards to you question on the white pots. How about a nice wisteria.

Attached is a virutal of the first white pot (18"x16"x5") with the bonsai I made it for.

Chansen,

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I responded to your PM. Let me know if you need any further information.

Bubbafrga,

It's good to hear from you. I appreciate the feeback. I would seem that 19a is the current favorite.

Have a great day,
Paul

Great stuff Paul. Thanks for sharing!

Is 19a. a new glaze?

Thanks Rob, I appreciate the compliment.

To answer your question, not really. This is one variant of this particular glaze. You saw a few pots done with this glaze at Kawa's function. However, the clay body under the glaze was different on the pots you saw.

Cheers,
Paul

Bubba,

I did not plan on it because I was doing the program. However, if there are a few that interest you I would be happy to bring them along.

Paul

I realy like 45a . that is my favorite . like the shape and the color . I think a red leaf maple would look good in that pot. what size is it?

18a gets my vote!

Paul,
Are these all round or are there some ovals?

Do you wax the feet?

ketoi,

All are ovals except the last one (52a) which is round.

No, I do not wax the feet. I apply my glazes with a sprayer and then wipe the over spray off with a damp sponge.

Here is a top and bottom view of 18a.

Thanks for the feedback.

Photos hide them well, they looked round to me. Spraying, never thought of that. You have a booth?

Are these made by slab or coil?
