Morning visitor…

You know... when you get to certain age things are not that easy 'online' anymore :) ... you also want but don't know how... so photos will have to suffice... though pretty lame with iPhone...

That's what I'm trying to figure out now... just realized video not loading... stay patient ;)
I believe videos must be hosted off site (you tube or Dropbox or whatever) and then attached via link here 🙂

Is it a swallowtail?

I planted a bunch of parsley for them caterpillars, I reckon dill and fennel work too.

Thanks for advise… realize it too… just not smart enough… will try next time :) … was such a beautiful game of colors.
This azalea was just purchased… pure stump… only put it in the pot and wasn’t expecting any flowers this year… let alone situation like this. Will post some photos soon in full bloom… maybe start progress thread…

No idea… I just moved to Shanghai… no idea about local animals yet 🫤

Best get on that! I guess it's not exactly Australia but that could get dangerous!

Looks like some sort of swallowtail but pretty sure swallowtail caterpillars feed on citrus leaves - at least that's what they feed on down here.

Watch the fennel in the ground unless it is by itself all alone in a corner. The plant is noxious to nearly all other plants. Nothing will grow well next to it. Great for pollinators and predatory insects however. Suggest fennel in a pot for control.
