Like the Volcanite, Mother Earth now has there Coco bail, 5 kg on sale. It is $8 plus a bail, basically 3 for 1.
I know this product is not as useful as the pumice, but I love it for raised beds and as a peat substitute. You can't beat this price. Limit 3 like other sale, I bought mine.

Actually, no. I had the Volcanite in my watch list for several months and when I saw it was on sale, I scooped it up and passed on the word. The Coco was just revealed to me today because I use quite a bit of it and Mother Earth is a brand I trust.

It's perfectly fine for general potting soil, yes? I've been using it for houseplants and am happy with it but many bonsai folks don't care for it (even when appropriately used). Seems just fine, dries out quicker than peat but rehydrates much easier. Freer draining, as well.

Coco is great stuff.. very useful in MANY horticultural practices... I enjoy using it.. just normally cannot afford it.
