Mountain Ash

This is a mame mountain ash bonsai that i just repotted,

This first pic is the earliest one last fall

The other three is after it was repotted, the surface roots arent good yet but they r comming along.

the trunk is one inch thick and and its about 1.5 inches tall excluding the pot

any comments or ideas from anyone as to what kind of pot i oculd use for it next repot, i want to get it into a smaller pot and maybe a different type of pot any ideas?

I know Mountain Ash is not a well used species for bonsai, but it's one of my favorite trees, here in the Pacific Northwest. The fall color is excellent on the compound leaves, and the bright red berries are a feast for the eyes.

I like the basic structure even though its a little small, and the pot actually appeals to me.

Yes i like mountain ash a lot too there are aobut 4 or 5 huge ones in my driveway and this was a seedling of one of them.
im thinking of oging to a smaller pot next year, but still i might not because the soil couldd dry out fast.
