Sorry, seeing that no body will fix my posts, and the only way I have to
reply to a thread is by starting a new one...

Take your Bougie cutting and wrap the end in a bag full of damp, not
wet spagnum moss, take twine and bind it tight, so there is no movement.
Cut some slits in bag here and there to allow it to breath and drain properly.
Then just sit it in the shade and water the spagnum moss once a week. I
usually dunk the whole ball of bag and spagnum moss in a pail of water, and
let it sit for about 5 mins. then take it out.

Makesure the moss is not staying to wet.
This is kinda Like you would do if you were doing an air layer.
Be careful of the cold.
In a month you should have a bag full of roots and can put it in soil when you
want.

In the future once you have got the hang of doing this, move on to what
daytona has suggested... It requires a bit more attention, but less digging
out spagum moss from the roots later.

When he was saying 15", he was refering to the thickness of the trunk.
You can easily root extremely thick logs with Bougies.
Hope this helps...
:)

If someone "Actually" sees this, can you pass it along to him.
Thanks
