Saw this mugo at the Lowes today, priced at $120. Its pricey for me, any ideas if it will be a good bonsai specimen, new to bonsai world.

Personally.... no way. Litarati Mugo? Maybe. Not 120$ maybe.

Lowes is Stupid!

Dunno if I ever shopped there, I think only Menards. They suck too. Home Depot has the best Bonsai Stock here when it's not WalMart. Cheapest prices too.

If you're lucky and the store is mismanaged (meaning they forget to water their stock), it will start to brown and they'll reduce the price. Get to know the nursery manager. I've gotten stuff from Lowes at 80% off. A little tlc and it bounced back.

At $24 I would consider it but that trunk is looking and naked.

Is that decimal in the right place? You can do a lot better for $120.

How do I start a new post on this website I have a question about a Mugo pine myself but the only thing I could see that I’m able to do is post to reply
Hamburger button > new posts > orange button > then pick the right sub topic
