vancouver, wash.
here's a mugo pine i got as a starter tree from a local nursery which i've had growing in the ground for about 5 yrs. now.
i just potted it into a root maker container using about 95 % pumice and the rest being red volcanic cinder.
its approx. 17 inches tall with a 3 inch trunk base.
i'll let it grow now for about a year before doing any wiring or styling.
comments are most wellcome.

In my limited experience I would say it looks quite nice for a mugo. Definitely doesn't look like it came from a nursery. It carries taper along most of the trunk. Plenty of branches to choose from to get a nice alternating, spiraling pattern. Feed it up and do the proper things to stimulate budding and it has a lot of potential. Good luck.

Hey Art. Nice nursery find! I'd have to agree with sfhellwig. JasonG would be a good source, he is a member of B-Nut. Anyway... nice mugo!
