Mulberry freshly pruned

Just sharing a mulberry I've had for a few years. Collected as a sapling. Spent some time in the ground then a pond basket. Repotted early this spring and pruned/shaped yesterday. I found a better front unfortunately after the repot. Live and learn.

I like it..how old is the tree and has it fruited for you yet? I have a couple that Im working on too.

This one has not fruited. I found it in my yard as a sapling in 2019. It only spent a little over one year in the ground. I should have let it 'cook' longer but it was my first one. Now I always snatch them when I spot new ones popping up and I have a few bulking up in ground. You have to stay in to of them because they grow fast lol.

Thanks , I know they are very vigorous grower .

Not all of them produce berries. Some produce only male flowers. Some produce only female. Some produce both. Some switch back and forth.

Same here. Only one of mine has ever produced berries. I just assumed it was because of pruning.
