I’ve noticed something has been eating the leaves on my mulberry, but it’s the end of the season so I’m thinking defoliate, or leave it be? I’m planning a trunk chop in spring, so I kinda want to leave the leaves on for longer while they’re still green

Looks like the pest has moved on so you may as well leave it until natural leaf fall
its been hella windy lately so i had all my trees on the ground, thought it was natural autumn colours until i put them up on the edge of the roof again and then actually saw what was going on underneath.

Defoliate? But what if it leafs out before it gets cooler?
Do that trunk chop I’ve been aching to do since I wanna defoliate anyway? But what if it leafs out before it gets cooler?
Leave it alone and hopefully some bird will eat him?
