Hello people,

I'd like to know what you think so far and where I should cut. Also, I was wondering if it could be split. I want to keep the larger portion and will be carving it up some.

I have only ever had freshly started roses in pots over the years and others in the ground. Honest I have no idea if they survive being pulled in general. It would be pretty darn cool if it does but for now I would concentrate on keeping it healthy and growing for at least 2 full seasons.

That movement on the right...if this could be split would be fascinating in it's own right without the distraction of the left side. Which could be potential for another tree? I do "not" know anything about roses...so I would wait to get someone with much more knowledge on the fact to pipe in. Amazed at the size of trunk!

Just posted this yonder.

I pulled one with no roots in fall.
Put I in my buddy's yard and it grew like mad!

Nice find!

pbethune it should be putting out new growth soon, let it grow this summer and establish roots. Roses need to be cut down each year to old wood so they will bloom so it will be a year to year design challenge but that trunk is great. Good luck with it.
