The transformation from the above photo after the original Ben Oki workshop in '05 to where it is now epitomizes the long range vision that is needed in bonsai. Mr. Oki probably didn't know if you were capable of pulling it off at the time, but he visualized 15 years ago the point to where you have now brought the tree. Kudos, Brian, you have earned my respect once again. This shows that you don't need tons of money to develop great bonsai. You took a piece of free raw material from your yard and brought it to a high level of development. Let this be a lesson in vision and perserverance to all of us.

It's gorgeous Brian...sorry to hear you are losing branches. But I expect it to wow us with your talent. The new vamped tree.
