I dunno.....maybe, it bloomed once for me in 3 or 4 years.....
Its been stubborn.
I tried a smaller pot, more frequently drying....
We'll see.
I feel your pain. One of mine has grown like crazy all year, and no signs of blooming whatsoever. The one right next to it has bloomed several times this summer, same exact care.

You should have included a picture. We want to see them and you can puff out your chest occasionally!

Haven't done anything aside from up-potting it, and wiring a runner down to possibly be a future cascade.

Sorry I don't have a better backdrop in my basement office!

Looks like you'll be seeing some flowers soon!
Maybe! I was wondering...it has bloomed once before, nothing impressive though.
I'm getting more branches now, so hopefully more flowers....but either way, I hope to put on some good branch ramification this year.

Some leaves showing color in a few places = flowers!

So.... the leaves were coloring up, since May.....even saw some of the leaf edges "curling" or getting wavy.....but never saw any flowers.
???
Anyway....Loads of growth and back-buds opening on the branches.

Gonna trim it up, I think....

That last pic would look good in a semi-cascade pot.
May go there....or even further eventually!
I think I'll let it shoot out again before autumn, when it comes indoors, under the bright lights.
If I leave the pot sitting flat now, my new growth will be in a good direction for the next pruning and repotting.....I think.

I have the wavy leaves and the red tips....but will I have any flowers...??? Who knows.
It did bloom once for me....but only once, and I've let this thing run many times...
Anyway, it's time for some crappy night pics now....
I can't really hold it properly and get the whole thing in frame...need to get some longer arms installed.

Well, its official....I now have a new species!
The Non-flowering Bougainvillea!
It likes to play with you and make you think its gonna bloom soon....
It even gets curly leaf edges and red tips, but ha ha ha, don't be fooled, she ain't blooming!
Even getting back-buds opening now, still no flowers.
Gonna bring it inside in another week or so....
At that point I will do a bunch of work, including several insults at once, defoliation, trim and wire and repot at a new angle in a really cool @sorce pot!......cuz that how I roll, dug.
Here it is today, as bushy as ever, as strong as ever.

I still think it's wanting to bloom.
Yeah, I'm sure it would have if I hadn't cut it back so many times this year, but the branching has improved greatly this year, so I'm happy with that.
One thing I need to remember to do next summer, when it gets into high gear, is to recut the edge of the chop scar, its never rolled over nicely, but it is beginning to roll down from the top now.
