Mine are blooming now too. I don't have my indoor set-up ready yet, and we are going out of town for a couple of days. I put everything on shelves up against the house, fingers crossed. A couple days ago it was over 90 degrees:mad:

Don't expect the leaves to change to a proper greener because you fertilized. A leaf looks like what the conditions were when it grew to maturity. New leaves will reflect new conditions, if they are different. There may be some modest change in the chlorotic appearance of old leaves, but not from bad to swell. More like ~slightly~ better.

It seems a bit strange to me.... I think the only new addition to the mix is Douglas Fir Bark, and I doubt that would have any impact.
Gotta get some magnesium up in there.....or find some bogain.
I have never tried bogain.

All I've really wanted from this tree is to see the blooms.....and have fun along the way.
Now that it looks like I will see the colors this year, maybe after blooming I'll cut back once and let it run free for a while.....maybe get the chop scar to roll over a bit.

The flowers were pink. I didnt take pics....sorry.
I did cut back after blooming.
Here it is today, pushing some new growth.
I can see roots growing too!
I also removed the wire a week ago.

I think I will have to rewire the trunk, I'm not happy with the big loop from certain angles.....gonna have to tighten that up with a sharper bend, I think.

Be careful not to bend too much at a time, bougies tend to break at joints, and everywhere else.
I've bent this trunk to the cracking-point already......
Close inspection will show you the broken bark from the bending.

I've pushed it hard already...and am glad to see new roots pushing from the trunk.
I think its in good health now....and I plan to allow it to grow through winter, though trimming will likely be necessary at times.

I don’t have one of these yet. I’m surprised that I haven’t tried one.

I saw some new growth happening, so I cut off all the old, large, tired looking winter leaves.
Removed the wire.
Redressed the surface with fines.
Roots growing out of the drainage hole too.
I'll let it grow out again and then cut back, rewire and repot this summer.
