My first attempt at kusamono

Trimmed the roots back and stuffed these little plants into a growing pot with bonsai soil. It's English ivy, Japanese painted fern "Pictum" and Lysimachia.

Nice combination! I give up on those type of plantings and try at least 1 or 2 a year anyways

What made you give up on them, Grimmy? Once these start growing more I'm going to cut them back to make them dense.

I do start a few a year and somehow they seem to need more attention then I can give them and still maintain what I have. I am thinking to do a few in small pots and toss them in the terrarium so the Wife can keep an eye on them this year
