At the Lodder Bonsai end of year sale last year I bought a damaged nanban pot with a nail signature on the bottom for only € 10,00.
The pot was missing a piece out of the rim of the pot and I thought it would be a nice repair project.
I took some reddish brown lava rock and crushed it to powder to mix it with the 2 component epoxy.
I used some painters tape and two strips of plastic to create a barrier for the epoxy and hold it in place during the hardening proces.
After pouring the epoxy I sanded it down and flush with the rim of the pot.
This was the first time I used epoxy and repaired a bonsai pot and I'm happy with the result.
I identified the signature based on the info of Bonsaipotplaza.com
