I finally got up the nerve to try my hand at styling Juniperis Procumbens. Starting with this guy in a pot.
After exploring the roots and deciding on the front, and making some jin (it is a Juniper after all) I put it in this pot I've had forever....well at least since I was in my twenties anyway, when I accidentally killed my first tree.....a beautiful Chinese elm. I felt badly.
And then changing the direction of the top branch....
And finally getting down to start wiring and shaping, and trying to make it look like a real bonsai.
Front.
.
I'll let the pads fill out now and continue refining as time goes on.
Any comments or helpful criticisms are welcome.
Thanks.
