Hello everyone. This is my first post. My wife bought me a Procumbens Nana for an early Father's Day gift. I am new to Bonsai and started in May of this year. I have joined a local club and I am attending classes so I can learn as much as I can. One of my first learnings was not to pinch new buds on Procumbens. You can see from the first picture to the present that I got a little crazy pinching it back. Now I will have to wait for new buds to come back. I didn't realize the energy is stored in the tips. So far I removed the decorative rocks to expose the nebari, cleaned out the old needles, made Jin on a weak back branch and eye poker and created Shari on the front. I plan to wire another eye poker to the side and let back buds in the crotches grow. I am learning that I need to slow down and not fuss with my trees so much. Hard lesson for sure. Any advice or recommendations are welcome. Thanks!

Regards,
Mel
