Won this Firethorn at my local club meeting raffle. It's a healthy tree. I have heard from others that these trees can be very temperamental.
So far, it has tolerated full sun and has grown some long shoots.
Time to remove some unwanted limbs, trim it back, wire and move the eye poker to the side and fill some empty space in the back.
I kept three clumps of berries and removed the rest to redistribute energy. Gonna keep it in partial sun for a week and slowly reintroduce it back to full sun (9a-Los Angeles). That's it for now. Comments and tips always welcome.
